The first time I saw the night sky in its full splendor was on a cold evening next to the roaring Atlantic Ocean. It was almost a moonless night; above me was the galaxy, dressed with glowing stars that danced in the sea of the stardust of the Milky Way. I never saw a view as humbling and alive as that one, and as I sat there with my eyes fixed on the starry night, I just felt overwhelmed with emotions. I stayed there for hours, doing what millions of people before me had done when they looked up and tried to understand our universe from their own perspectives.
