A few semesters ago, I had the chance to take an advanced computer architecture class. I did not pay much attention to the prerequisites and signed up. When the first day of class came around, I could not follow along with the professor at all; every other word was foreign to me and went over my head. Stressed, I spent the following week going through introduction to computer architecture courses on YouTube and spent painstaking hours bent over the first assignment for the class.
